Five upward plumes of pale indigo and grey-blue fan out from a dense near-black nucleus at the base. Each plume rises, thins, and dissolves at its tip into scattered dark droplets — ink frozen mid-flight against an almost-white ground. The pigment is not applied: it climbs, pools, and precipitates under its own weight and the pull of drying air.
Where the ink thins toward the upper edges, grey-blue washes catch ambient light with a faint sheen. Where it concentrates at the base, it becomes matte and granular — a near-mineral surface of controlled accident.
