A dense graphite core sits low on the right of this canvas, and everything else escapes from it: a plume of turquoise opening upward across bare white space. Nature 153 belongs to the Nature series and was painted by Muriel Napoli in July 2022.
 
This turquoise graphite abstract painting 100x50 cm is an original single-panel work, not a print or an edition. Ink, textured gesso and acrylic are layered on cotton canvas stretched over a solid wooden frame: height 100 cm, width 50 cm, depth 4 cm.
 
The movement runs on a diagonal, from the blue-black mass at the lower right up to the feathered filaments along the top edge, where the ink thins into fine hairs against the white. A second, paler corolla unfolds at the lower left, its grey and black swirls marbled where the ink dried against the raised gesso. Speckles of cyan, silver and black scatter through the middle: the acrylic was dropped in while the ink was still travelling, so it granulated instead of covering. Matte and satin passages sit side by side, and the surface changes as the light moves across it.
 
The work is signed on the front by Muriel Napoli and ships with a certificate of authenticity. Artist-grade acrylic, pigmented inks and textured gesso are used throughout, chosen for lightfastness. The narrow format suits walls most paintings cannot take: a pier between two windows, a stairwell, the end of a hallway.
