Déferlement is a minimalist black ink painting, 90x90 cm, created for those looking for a sober, graphic contemporary artwork that is easy to integrate into an interior. Its black-and-white visual language—made of soft veils, traces, and denser areas of material—brings a calm, structuring presence. It suits both refined interior decor and an interior architect’s project or a decorator’s selection.
An original artwork by Muriel Napoli, Déferlement was created in 2011. Size: 90 x 90 cm (square). Technique: ink and acrylic on canvas (one-of-a-kind artwork). The canvas is signed on the front. The painting is ready to hang.
The composition plays on the balance between transparency and contrast. Velvety, almost misty areas sit alongside more pronounced pigment build-ups, like a suspended movement. This contemporary abstract painting works particularly well in a living room, entryway, office, or bedroom. It fits both a minimalist decor and a warmer interior (wood, natural materials, stone, polished concrete).
Each artwork is a unique piece created in the studio. A certificate of authenticity can be provided upon request, to reassure the buyer and facilitate acquisition for a collector. Muriel Napoli develops a practice centered on ink, material, and gesture, with a search for balance, rhythm, and visual depth.
